Ages 5-11
In this fun class, students create autumned-themed projects including cool Halloween drawings, a fall tree painting, a pumpkin and turkey sculpture, and much more.

(C35) Webkinz Art
Ages 6-10
Come join the wild wonderful world of Webkinz. Bring your favorite animal to class. Students use them as inspiration for various projects which include a colored pencil drawing with google eyes, a painted clay sculpted and a painted house for the Webkinz and more.

(A37) Rolled Paper Beads
Ages 7-11
Learn the tradition of making colorful beads from scraps of paper. Students will make beads, string them on wire, then use them to embellish a cork board message center. Excellent way to recycle old magazines.

(A38) Craft Stick Trinket Box & Necklace
Ages 6-12
Students will build a trinket box from craft sticks embellish it with a seasonal lining and decoupage lid. A matching themed necklace will be strung to create a project that can be kept or given as a Christmas gift.

(C39) Fun With Clay
Ages 6-11
Students learn fundamentals of working with clay through hand building. They will make coil pots, name plaques, mugs, and more. Final class focuses on glazing. Demonstrations & individual instruction given.

(C42) Room with a View
Ages 9-12
Van Gogh, Chagall, and Matisse are a few of many great artists who painted interior scenes featuring windows to the outside. Students will use these artists as inspiration to create mixed media paintings of personalized interior/exterior spaces. This painting class will teach atmospheric perspective and basic color theory, and apply printmaking and collage for added texture and visual interest.

Ages 8-10
Those who love cartooning and comics can come and learn basic drawing skills while working on projects of their own choosing. Learn the step-by-step techniques of storytelling with pictures, dialogue, lettering, and inking.

Paint pictures and capture the famous artists style and techniques. Study and paint Chagall’s Dreams, Monet’s Impressions, Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Matisse’s collages, and Munch’s scream.

(C45) So You Think You Can Draw?!
Ages 9-12
Come test your drawing skills as you learn new drawing techniques. A variety of materials will be explored to improve drawing abilities. Contour drawing, shading, perspective, and more will be introduced.

You love to draw and want to improve your natural abilities. Students explore traditional methods, improve artistic and creative drawing skills, and begin to develop as an artist. This class focuses on developing a personal drawing style and not on tracing images.

(C48) Intermediate Cartooning
Ages 11-14
This course is designed for cartooning students who have taken Basic Cartooning and want to progress. Class reviews the basics and adds depth to the discussions and techniques with group projects and exercises designed to make the budding cartoonist think outside the box.
