Call for Teaching Proposals
Dear Instructor,
The North Hills Art Center’s Fall 2008 semester is slated to begin the week of September 29 and we are looking forward to your participation. Classes can begin any time within that framework at your discretion. Classes may be scheduled any day of the week during the morning, afternoon, or evening.
Homeschool classes are also needed-any days except Fridays. We would like to offer a broad range of course selections this Fall for adults, teens and children so please propose as many diverse classes as possible.
Please take a few moments to fill out the enclosed class proposals so that we
may include you in our upcoming class brochure. We encourage you to be as
creative as possible, and to choose subjects you are enthusiastic about
teaching. Please keep in mind the following information as you structure your
proposals:
- Classes can run for 4,6, or 8 weeks, or for a larger 10 – 12 week session if desired
- Classes: Adult and teen classes meet for 2 or 3 hours per session, one time a week.
- Children’s classes are 1, 1 1/2hr, or 2 hrs one time per week.
- Mini-Classes: Mini-classes meet once or twice a week for 2-4 weeks.
- Workshops: Held for 1-2 days.
If you have a maximum number of students you will accept for your class, please note that number on your proposal. If you specify no maximum number of students, the office will determine one. Please use only one worksheet per class, making additional copies as needed.
We will also be starting a small art supply store that will be stocked through
Utrecht Art Supplies on East Carson St. We would like to offer some basic
supplies to students as they register for class. Please make sure you list
the supplies your class will require.
ALL FALL CLASS PROPOSAL FORMS MUST BE TURNED INTO THE NORTH HILLS ART CENTER
BY TUESDAY, JULY 15, 2008. NO CLASS PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT
DATE OR OVER THE PHONE. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
