C51 / Aquatics Camp Fun!

(Ages 8 - 13)

Its summer and we can pretend we are near the water and create by the sea a variety of sea creatures. Fishes out of bottles, sand dollars, sand-art creations, wishing wells, light houses and sea shell art. Join the fun and create a craft and a watercolor painting each morning at camp!

Those who love cartooning and comics and come and learn basic drawing skills while working on projects of their own choosing. Learn the step-by-step techniques of storytelling with pictures, dialogue, lettering and inking.

This course is designed for cartooning students who have taken Basic Cartooning and want to progress. Class reviews the basics and adds depth to the discussions and techniques with group projects and exercises designed to make the budding cartoonist think outside the box.

Build Oaxacan animals using wood and bright color paints. Peacocks with wire and clay, pain paperweight owls on rocks and use your imagination to make a creature out of paper mache.

It looks like: Stained Glass, Batik, Tie Dye, a cactus plant, American tin art and a Japanese bonsai tree, just made out of different craft materials to resemble more difficult art forms. Fool everyone who walks by your art!

Explore the vast array of art that can be created from fibers, including yarn, fabric paper, and more. Create dyes from bark, berries and flowers to dye cotton fabric to make pillows. The art you make can be hung, worn and displayed as sculpture.

Lets splash into summer while creating hot summery projects! Stay cool while creating a sand castle from air dry clay, then heat things up with a fiery painting of the sun, then relax on the beach as you crate your own ocean painting. You can make your own dragonfly, lighting bug, or ladybug drawing tool.
